![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Eagle Forest The forest covers the largest area of the territory, a seemingly endless expanse of towering old trees, bars of light drifting slowly between the canopy down to the leaf-littered forest floor where young saplings and ferns strain upwards for their chance at life. The bulk of the trees are several species of oaks, pines, willows and beeches. Smaller frequencies of other species such as ash, cedar, maple, birch and redwood can however be found. Numerous clearings and smaller streams make up little-known features of the forest, while the Bluemoon River cuts through as well. As the inhabitants of the forests are mainly the Fire Eagle Lupe Pack, it has come to be known as simply, Eagle Forest. It is a hunting grounds, home base, and playground for the many pack members. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Bluemoon River The Bluemoon River is named for the reflection of the moon on clear nights. A very deep river at its middle point, it runs swiftly across the plains, but slows as it enters the Fire Eagle’s forest, making a few turns and speeding into small rapids at some points before ending in a medium-sized lake. The riverbanks are sandy, and the shallows make a barrier to each side before the riverbed drops down into the deep at its center. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Azure Edge Lake Nestled in between the larger trees of Eagle Forest and fed by the Bluemoon, the trees give way to a wide, open clearing with sandy banks, centered by a medium-sized lake. Stunningly deep, the lake reflects the sky because of this, so that during the day, it is a beautiful deep blue colour, hence the name Azure Edge Lake. The shallows last for a short distance around the sand-banks on the northern and western shores, and to the north-east the beach has been built by the sweeping wind into many sand-dunes. The south shore has little sand, rising instead to a multitude of scattered rocks and boulders. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Gardens A recent area of the Fire Eagles territory, the gardens are just starting to flourish and bear an alternative food supply, as well as a peaceful environment, to the Fire Eagles and their allies. The gardens are located at the edge of the forest just south of where the Bluemoon River enters the trees. The borders are encircled by various flowers, half of which are roses, marking the edge of the gardens. There are entrances to the North, where one follows the course of the river, and one to the east, allowing for entrance without crushing or leaping over the flower border. The last entrance is through the treehouse under construction along the forest border to the southwest corner of the gardens. Many species of vegetables are being grown in the east beds, and to the west is the orchard. The tree species growing there include apple, orange, pear, mango, chestnut, and peach. Beside the trees are the vines for the grapes and the plants such as tomatoes. Rose bushes grow between these and the vegetables, and the gardens are a place of peace, honest toll, and cooperation. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Playgrounds In Eagle Forest where the Bluemoon runs its course through the trees, a major stream splits away from the main body of water. It was this site that was claimed as the playground by some of the teenage pack members, and now is a place of play and activity for all ages. The Bluemoon River marks the start of the fun with strong rapids leading down to the stream split-off, a perfect challenge for the daring swimmer. These rapids run for a distance before calming and running into a large dammed pool, the far edge of which drops into a small waterfall above the second pool, a calm swimming hole. This has been dammed from the main section of the Bluemoon, just like the rapids pool above, and the row of rocks is used as a bridge between the banks. Around the sides of the waterfall the ground slopes into a slide on both sides. The south bank is a pup playground, strewn with rocks, bushes, and fallen logs until the trees take over once more. The north bank sees a slightly more organized playground, with a large jungle gym constructed from old trees and a much larger rock pile with miniature waterfalls of its own. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Mt. Desri Rising from the Haunted Forest is Mt. Desri, the home base of the pack named after it. The tallest peak in the area, and the best veiws for miles around. Moderators: Shell, Doberz | 2 | 97 | on Jun 15, 2004, 10:39am by Doberz in Mourning |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Shelf A large area of rock that has receded into the mountain?not in a cave-like manner, but almost as a large open platform. When Mt. Desri was first put together, this was chosen as the main spot for the pack to gather, whether it be for anything as formal as meetings, to something as average as a good chat and a couple play-fights. It?s a convenient place, where the slope of the mountain suddenly becomes nonexistent, just enough to hold a small section of forest, before it again begins to climb upward toward the peak. Thus, it has affectionately been named ?The Shelf.? Moderators: Shell, Doberz | 3 | 59 | on Aug 25, 2004, 4:15pm by Doberz in Bloodthorne |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | RedCrescent Stream A branch of the Bluemoon River, that runs all the way up to nearly the peak of Mt. Desri, before it winds its way back down the other side and disappears into the Wilderness Mountain Range. The Stream had remained unnamed until recently. It was named partially after the river that it branches off of, and partially after the way the moon had risen the evening that the Mount Desri Pack?s late alpha was murdered. A lot of life on the mountain gathers around this stream?even in the frozen winter months, the ice can be broken through and water reached. It is a prime hunting spot, if one does not wish to leave Mt. Desri. Moderators: Shell, Doberz | 3 | 52 | on Aug 14, 2004, 9:36am by Doberz in Morbid Discovery |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Peak A veritable frozen wasteland at the top of Mt. Desri. Very few have ever dared to venture quite so far. There is an almost constant blizzard at the top, with icy grounds?rarely powdery snow, but often hail and solid chunks of ice. Many who try to make it this far have never returned. It is a place for only those not faint of heart?though a nice thick pelt doesn?t hurt. Moderators: Shell, Doberz | 1 | 1 | on Jul 18, 2004, 2:19pm by Doberz in Shadow's Escape |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Desri Forest A large collection of trees runs around the bottom two-thirds of Mt. Desri, creating the Desri Forest. Another decent place for hunting?though not quite so good as RedCrescent. Many of the trees are planted oddly, however?from the slope of the mountain?and tend to fall victim to gravity far earlier in life than the average tree. Freshly-fallen logs are not a rare sight in the forest?and they often provide comfortable places to lounge, or for pups to play. The forest itself is rather thick, omitting a considerable amount of sunlight, before it thins out near the top. It fades to white powdery snow, before there is a layer of clouds, and, finally, everything closest to the peak becomes ice. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Desri Caves A collection of caverns leading deep into the mountain, at the line where greenery turns into snow. The lower caves are used for shelter and dens, while the higher caves are used for storage within ice. Of course, they also provide ideal areas for exploration. Some caverns are, obviously, more dangerous than others. While a rare few go nearly to the center of the mountain, most end about fifty yards or so in. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Underground Network When Brute first moved into DarkForest with the beginings of the ESLP, he realized a safe place to hide, keep prisonors, and use as an escape route would be a great advantage. He planned out the Underground network, and set Blue, Brace and Balios to work digging. Now, under DarkForest are several treeroot-lined caves, connected and accessed by the network of tunnels with only three entrances into the open air above. One way in is to dive through the pool in the main clearing, following the narrow underwater passage which leads to the wide lake-cavern inside. Here, there is air once more. Another way in is a long tunnel, that takes a good hour to travel down, and opens into DarkForest under the roots of a massive old ash tree. The last is a dead hollow tree in DarkForest, broken half way up, that can be climbed (with skill and practice) and slid down inside to reach the tunnel leading to the caves. This is an entrance only - reaching the top of the tree from inside the Network is all but impossible. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Bleeding Moon Feilds The Bleeding Moon Fields are the pack’s main living area. It is where, at the base of the Bleeding Moon Volcano, both the dens and the main eating, training and meeting area are situated. Obviously, this area would be the most often populated. The fields are large, and through them runs one section of the northwest running Cedebe River. Moderators: Shell, Sarah | 3 | 23 | on Dec 13, 2006, 7:55am by Sarah in Divided family |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Bleeding Moon Forest The forest covers just over half of the LBM territory, but as few LBM members venture to the snowlands, the forests are often crawling with members. There are four main clearings that have been well established within these forests, the Malden, Tiran, Valmont and Theldar clearings. As well as this, the main parts of the Cedebe Rivers run through the forests, their junction situated where the forest and snowlands meet. Moderators: Shell, Sarah | 2 | 19 | on Aug 14, 2004, 9:23am by Doberz in Predators |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Volcano The Bleeding Moon Volcano rises up above the Bleeding Moon fields, and can be seen from any place within the territory. The main part of the volcanic land beneath the Bleeding Moon Volcano is not part of the LBM territory, for it is on the opposite side. However, many LBM members treat it as part of the territory anyway, and often venture there. The only members not permitted in this area are the Damned, as they are forbidden to leave the territory at all; punishable by death. Most lupes generally remain at the base of the volcano, though some may climb to its peak. From there, you can see the entire LBM territory, snowlands included. Moderators: Shell, Sarah | 4 | 23 | on Jul 1, 2005, 11:09pm by Rebel Wolf Chris in Curious Racer |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Snowlands The snowlands in LBM territory cover just under half of the area, but few members ever venture into these parts. In general, the snowlands make a good hunting area, but are known to be dangerous, even for LBM members. Why? Members often debate about the myth of a creature that lurks within the snowlands, but only Dralmorde and trusted council members know the truth about this; It is no secret, however, that the snowlands are where the Damned are taken to be slaughtered. The snowlands are dotted with clearings and forests, and hot springs lie closer north towards the volcano. ‘Burial grounds’ for the Damned and past members are also situated somewhere within the snowlands. The single entrance is located in the wooded, rocky area near the foot of the hill, and the very back of the cave holds a small pool of cold water fed by and underground spring. Moderators: Shell, Rebel Wolf Chris | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Dunes Beginning at the edge of Hawk Hill Lake’s widest beach and stretching back over the plains towards Hawk Hill, the dunes are a series of little-explored sandy mountains and dells. It is easy to get lost in the labyrinth of windswept dunes, and wise parents warn their cubs to stay away until they develop a good sense of direction. Nevertheless the Duens are considered an exciting place by most young ones and an irresistible playground. Many small freshwater pools and tough beachside vegetation lie in the hollows between the dunes, while the tall slopes themselves remain bare of growth. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Savanna To the south, between Eagle and Desri Forests, lie the expanse of the Plains nicknamed the Savanna. Scattered with rocky outcrops, various dales and gorges, small tree-groves, and many small unnamed steams fed by underground springs, it is the main hunting grounds of the Hawk Hill Pride. Many species of deer frequent here, as well as smaller animals such as mice, rabbits, and many birds. The Savanna is fairly extensive area, but easier to navigate than the dunes because the ground is fairly level, only dipping into the occasional hollow. The Southern Hill range is fun place to fly and play, and despite being lower than many other spots on the island, offer an amazing viewpoint of part of the territory and the ocean. Anyone near it when it spits out it's greenish liquid will dye an agonizingly slow and painful death as their flesh burns from their very bones. However, it only erupts once a month, during the full moon. The Razor Winged and the Pestilential Claws take their captives here for executioning, often a ritual is performed before the moment of 'judgment'. Moderator: Shell | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Dark Oasis Rising above the Arid Plains like a hungry ghoul is a dark and dreary oasis. Trees and brush block the sky from view, rarely does light find the ground which is bare, only dead leaves lay along the dirt. The shadows stir and quiver, the wind's breath cold and ever shifting as time slowly drums by. The trees seem to live as their branches sway in the gentle breeze, grasping at one another as if to save themselves from falling into an endless abyss. So many strange sounds and shadows make this a very wicked place. Amongst the trees a few herbivores have made their home, fearing if they ever left they would get lost in the Arid Plains. Feeding on the little vegetation that grows, mostly moss and fungus, these leaf lickers seem to have obtained a skeleton like look and grew to have a bit of a wicked nature themselves. In the middle of this scene is the Pestilential Claws' cave, a very small stream runs right near by. Moderator: Shell | 0 | 0

![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Shield Volcano Most of the ground is a deep onyx, old volcanic rock that had cooled ages ago. Small streams of still active lava seethe with slow, sluggish movement across the surface. At the time very few tremors are felt and the volcano that still leaks hot molten rock is far from it's next explosion. The stench of sulfur fills the humid air all around this area, almost as rancid as the feel of malevolence that radiates from the caves that outline the Volcano's face, the dens and nests of the Razor Winged Pride. Shield Volcano is named after the currant type of Volcano it is. ![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Meadow The meadow is the best place to hang out. Plenty of grasses and plants to nibble on, a small stream runs right threw bringing fresh water. Patches of clover and young wheat-grass are found throughout the meadow. Most sentries are placed here to watch out for predators since most of the warren resides in this very spot. A single oak tree is found standing tall, here a few Usul and Kyrii had made nests in the branches. The Pteri that nested in the forest even come here to snatch up some seeds and bugs. There are two warren entrances here. One is hidden under the East side of the Brier Patch. The other is further out into the meadow, under the tree. Both entrances' runs merge eventually to make one main tunnel into the Meeting Burrow. Moderator: Shell | 1 | 4 | on Apr 19, 2004, 4:41pm by sashcatmeoww in The Angel Rests |
![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | The Forest The forest can sometimes be a frightening place. Predatory birds could be waiting in the tree tops or a weasel could be stalking in the bushes and you wouldn't even know... Though sentries are placed at the edge of the trees none of them are asked to go INTO the forest unless there is an emergency. There is a hidden warren entrance however, deep in the woods. Though it is rarely used it is there for if the warren needs to make an unexpected escape. If you do decide to go into the wood listen for the Pteri that nest in the trees. They're quite noisy when they spot danger. Moderator: Shell | 0 | 0

![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Meeting Burrow The meeting burrow rests under the very center of the Brier Patch. This burrow is the largest burrow in the warren, large enough to fit many-many members. It's ceiling is very high and entanglements of roots hold it tightly packed above. Four tunnel entrances come from the North, East, West and South, all of which lead to the outside. There are little "cubbys" in the walls of the Meeting burrow where pellets and other foods are stored for winter and hard times. Moderator: Shell | 0 | 0

![[ ]](http://s1.images.proboards.com/off.gif) | Seti’s tunnels and clearing On the edge of DarkForest, where it meets Border Forest, there is a large thorn bush. Somewhere on that thorn bush, near the bottom, is a spot where there are just leaves. This allows for the bush to pushed up a little to reveal the entrance to dark tunnel. This tunnel goes on until it reaches a place where it splits into two other tunnels. The left tunnel leads to a burrow, and the right leads to a very small clearing. Here, there are no overhead branches to block out the sun, rain, and snow. It's just a small, vast sandy-dirt like ground. Since the trees are so close together, and spiky vines cover any other means of entrance, getting into this little spot is extremely difficult, and almost impossible to enter unless one wanted to be torn up. The Tunnels are the most easiest, and convenient way to get here, and it's not known by many. Moderators: Shell, Rebel Wolf Chris | 0 | 0

Decades back a monstrous DarkForest tree was struck by lightning and died, tearing a sizable hole in the trees as it fell. Now the only object on the frostly clearing’s bare earth is that same fallen tree, dead black, the only shelter form the elements the Banished can claim. Inside it’s gradually hollowing trunk they live, trapped inside the elongated clearing by a Lupine-made fence of solid trunks and wicked thorn-vines. A mix of each forest, with some of DarkForest's tall, darker trees, and some normal trees from the Fire Eagle's forest. Although it belongs to no pack, it is in no way a safe place to be, being so close to each territory border. Fire has come to Border Forest: The odd mix of DarkForest’s choking flora and the stately old trees belonging to Eagle Forest have been shattered by flame, leaving a ruined and blackened ground behind. As winter creeps its cold chill over the lands the black ground freezes solid, charred and skeletal remains of the trees pointing dismally to the sky in bleak reminder of what once was. But, when the snow thaws out, the dormant seeds lying in the cold ground will take root, feeding off spring runoff and the warming sun, and bringing, once more, that odd mix of life from dark and light sides together.
